In case you don't know... Canadian singer/songwriter Bruce Cockburn is a vocal
supporter of many progressive causes. (Perhaps best known is his recent work on
the global land mines issue.)
For several years Bruce has been a spokesperson for the USC, as host and
narrator of many USC public service announcements. In a way, Bruce's
involvement as host of "River of Sand" is a natural outgrowth of this work.
A good source of info about Bruce Cockburn is "Gavin's Woodpile - The Bruce Cockburn Newsletter",
published six times a year. The purpose of
the six page newsletter is to keep readers informed of Bruce's tour
schedule, new projects he is working on either on his own or with other
artists, and where to find his released works. Interviews from numerous
sources from the past thirty years, as well as exclusive interviews,
articles and photos are also featured. Gavin's Woodpile receives
informational support from Bruce's management and record label in
Toronto (Finkelstein Management/True North), and Rykodisc in the United
States and Europe. To order or find out more click here.

large Bruce Cockburn site created by Frank Brusca.
There are many internet sites devoted to Bruce's life and work. Soon this site
will have links to many of them. (For now try Alta Vista.) |
